JONAS BROTHERS
After a hiatus of 6 years, Kevin, Nick and Joe Jonas have finally decided to come together and reform their band “Jonas Brothers”. Their reunion was speculated since when the band’s Instagram and Twitter pages were randomly reactivated in 2018.
The band announced on 28th February 2019 that they will be releasing their latest single “Sucker”. The new song is an upbeat number about being head over heels in love with someone. The song’s music video also features the spouses (Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sophie Turner, Danielle Jonas) of all the brothers in a cameo appearance. The band has also released the music video for their latest song “Cool” on 5th April 2019.
Jonas Brothers released their debut album “It’s About Time” in early 2006. They have collaborated with many pop stars including Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. The band experienced fame and popularity among teen audiences after their appearance in the Disney Channel original series “Jonas” and the movie “Camp Rock“.
SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA
Known as the “face of mainstream progressive house music”, fans of Swedish House Mafia were devastated when they announced their split back in 2012. After their split, the band members- Axwell pursued a solo career, while Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso performed as a duo.
The news of their reunion surfaced around March 2018 when they announced that they will be performing at the Ultra Miami Festival.
In August 2018, Steve Angello confirmed in an interview that the trio is working on some new music and coming up with an original LP slated for a release in late 2019. The group posted a teaser announcement for their upcoming summer tour starting May 2019 and are also set to play at Tomorrowland 2019. They will also headline Creamfields 2019’s event.
Some of their popular tracks include One, Save The World and Don’t You Worry Child which has more than 600 million views on YouTube.
BACKSTREET BOYS
One of the popular “boy bands” of the 90’s, Backstreet Boys, have been in the music business for 25 years. Formed in the year 1993, the group consists of AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell. The group released their debut album in the year 1996 and rose to worldwide fame. They rose to superstardom with their third studio album, “Millenium”which was released in the year 1999.
They have released their 10th studio album, DNA on 25th January, 2019. This album highlights each member’s musical influences while also staying true to their original pop and melodic sound.
RIHANNA
Rihanna’s last album, Anti, was released three years ago on 2016. After that the R&B singer took a break from her singing and focused more on her acting career, as well as working on her beauty brand.
Later in 2018, Rihanna confirmed that she was working on some new music with a more reggae vibe to it, much to the delight of her million fans although she has yet to reveal details of the album’s release and its title.
Rihanna is one of the world’s best selling music artists, with over 270 million records sold worldwide and is recognised as a “pop icon”. Many of her songs rank among the world’s best selling singles of all time, including the singles “Umbrella“, “We Found Love“, “Stay” and “Work”, as well as her collaboration “Love The Way You Lie” with Eminem.
